Your contracts stay useful after the first read. Reports, questions, versions and deadlines stay in one place, so your team can come back to them for the whole life of the deal.

Ask your contract a question and hear the answer.

Every document is broken down into clauses, risk levels and market comparisons. Voice AI (Lex Chat) lets you work with that analysis in plain conversation, instead of scrolling through pages.

Natural voice conversations

Turn on the microphone and ask "What happens if I resign early?" You get a spoken answer based on your contract.

Aware of context and jurisdiction

Answers take the clause, the rest of the contract and the governing law into account.

What a report looks like

An executive summary, a complexity rating and a clause-by-clause analysis with warnings and passed checks. Open any clause below.

Executive summary
Sample report
This Software Services Agreement governs the provision of cloud-based SaaS tools between the vendor and client organization. The agreement spans 24 months with automatic renewal provisions and establishes terms for service levels, data handling, liability caps, and termination rights. Overall the contract is moderately balanced, though several clauses contain language that disproportionately favors the vendor. Key areas requiring attention include the limitation of liability cap, auto-renewal notice window, and data ownership upon termination. The governing law clause designates a jurisdiction that may be inconvenient for the client party. All data processing provisions are GDPR-aligned with appropriate sub-processor disclosure obligations.
ComplexityIntermediate
Clauses checked6 sections
Result3 warnings, 3 passed
Clause analysis
Limitation of liabilityWarning
Vendor liability capped at one month of fees paid by client.
▼

A cap of one month's fees is well below what is common for SaaS agreements, where 12 months of fees is typical. It limits what you can recover after a data breach or a long outage. Ask for at least 6 to 12 months of fees.

Data ownership and portabilityWarning
Data export rights upon termination are time-restricted and fee-gated.
▼

You have only 14 days after termination to export your data, after which the vendor may delete it. Export also carries fees that are not in the base contract. Ask for 60 days and no extraction fee.

Auto-renewalWarning
Contract auto-renews for 12 months unless cancelled 90 days prior.
▼

A 90-day notice window is long. Miss it by a day and you are committed for another year. Ask for 30 to 60 days and a reminder from the vendor before the deadline.

Data processing and GDPRPassed
Vendor commits to GDPR-compliant processing with DPA attached as Schedule A.
▼

The attached DPA covers lawful basis, data subject rights, sub-processors and breach notification timelines in line with GDPR Articles 28 and 32. No issues found.

Intellectual propertyPassed
Client retains ownership of all data and content uploaded to the platform.
▼

The client keeps all rights to uploaded content and outputs. The vendor only gets a limited licence to process data to deliver the service.

Service levelsPassed
99.5% uptime guaranteed with defined remedies for downtime breaches.
▼

99.5% monthly uptime with service credits from 10% to 30% of monthly fees, depending on the downtime. Measurement and exclusions are clearly defined.

The Fairness Engine shows where you stand.

Knowing a clause is risky is half the answer. The Fairness Engine compares each key term with what is standard in the market for this type of contract, and tells you what to ask for.

Questions by voice or text

Ask "What happens if I break the non-compete?" and get a clear answer.

Original · Termination clause
"Either party may terminate this Agreement upon ninety (90) calendar days prior written notice delivered in accordance with the notice provisions herein, notwithstanding any other provisions hereof, subject to surviving obligations under Sections 8, 9, and 11 which shall remain in full force and effect."
In plain English
Either side can end this contract with 90 days' written notice. Confidentiality and IP obligations continue after it ends.
Original · IP assignment
"Employee hereby irrevocably assigns, transfers and conveys to Employer all right, title and interest in and to any Inventions conceived, developed or reduced to practice during the term of employment, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law."
In plain English
Everything you create while employed, including personal projects, belongs to the company. That is very broad. Ask for an exception for work done in your own time.
Original · Arbitration clause
"Any dispute shall be exclusively resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, waiving any right to a jury trial."
In plain English
Disputes go to private arbitration, not to court, and you give up your right to a jury trial.

Frequently asked questions

LexClaro is decision support that your team uses every day to understand, evaluate and act on contracts. Still have a question? Contact our team.

What types of documents can LexClaro analyze?▼
PDF, DOCX and TXT, including scanned documents. It works with NDAs, employment agreements, vendor contracts, SaaS agreements, leases, purchase agreements, deeds, IP licences and more.
How does the credit system work?▼
One credit covers one page. A 10-page contract uses 10 credits. The Starter pack adds credits once. The monthly plans include a credit allowance for each billing period. On LexClaro business, Workspace plans share credits across the team.
Is it a subscription? Can I cancel at any time?▼
The €12 Starter pack is a one-off purchase. Pro, Premium, Business and Business Plus are monthly subscriptions. You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account settings, and you keep access until the end of the current billing period.
What is the Fairness Engine?▼
It compares the key terms of your contract with market standards for that type of contract, shows where the terms are unfavourable and suggests what to ask for. It can also draft a negotiation message for you.
How accurate is the AI analysis?▼
LexClaro combines clause detection, legal context and the governing law to give reliable, structured results for the supported document types. It is decision support, not a replacement for legal judgment in high-risk matters.
What is LexClaro business?▼
The workspace for firms and deal teams at law.lexclaro.com. It adds clients and matters, conflict checks, due diligence for whole data rooms, professional report sections, a firm precedent library, contract stages with version history, a tamper-proof audit log, SAML single sign-on and SIEM integration.
How does Voice AI work?▼
Voice AI (Lex Chat) lets you ask spoken questions about your uploaded document. Tap the microphone, ask naturally and hear the answer in real time. It takes the clauses, the context and the governing law into account.
Is my data secure and confidential?▼
Documents, reports and chats are encrypted with AES-256, using separate keys per user and per type of data, and all traffic uses TLS. Access is limited by user, team and firm. We do not use your documents to train AI models. Firms also get roles, a tamper-proof audit log and a retention setting for each document.
Can I share analysis reports with others?▼
Yes. Create a secure link for any report and choose what the recipient can do: view only, suggest edits or full access, with Voice AI for guests, time limits and an expiry date. Recipients do not need an account to view a shared report.
Which legal jurisdictions are supported?▼
LexClaro supports US, UK, EU, Canadian and Australian legal frameworks. The analysis flags clauses that may be unusual or unenforceable in your region, and more jurisdictions are being added.
Does LexClaro replace a lawyer?▼
No. LexClaro helps legal and business teams work faster and better informed. It reduces manual review and surfaces risk early, while legal professionals keep the final judgment.
Do I need a separate account for LexClaro business?▼
No. You sign in with your LexClaro account and can switch between LexClaro and LexClaro business without signing in again. Firms with an enterprise agreement can also use their company SSO.
